Horse Drawn Planter
As mentioned yesterday, I plan to continue to show some of the projects I have out in my original small workshop that never got finished.
Today, I am showing a horse drawn planter that I got started on but never finished for one reason or another. The nice thing about working with steel is that it’s still in good condition so I could someday finish where I left off if I wanted!
Tires, Tires, and more Tires
A completed model just doesn’t look correct if the tires are the wrong size so over the years I’ve continued to collect tires so I always have a variety to choose from. Many of these tires came off of old toys that we would find at toy stores that were going out of business. They would be marked down super low but all I cared about were the great tires, so it was a bargain for me!
To keep all of them organized, I have them grouped by size on wires so they’re easy to store, access and stack. Sometimes a new model is driven just because I have the right tires for it!
Bron 550 Drainage Tile Plow Updates
Progress continues on the drainage plow track as I continue to put together the pieces.
So far, I’ve got the first 50 grousers welded into place on one set of the pads, and need to do the second set now. You can see in the video how they look with the grousers welded into place and also how they look before they’re in place. I also show how the tracks are coming together since the last video although I ran out of steel so need to make a stop by Gaylord Steel to get some more.
