Precision Tractors – Deb and I just returned from four days down on the farm with my folks again and we had another nice time . Still making memories as long as we can with my dad. He was a little better at times this visit than last time so that was nice.

I also want to thank Alex for giving me the tour of more of their farm . I went with him to feed the cattle in two feedlots and he gave me his opinion of life on the farm at 13 .
He said he operates everything on the farm except the monster combine with the 35 foot grain head and 12 row corn head. He said he really wants to get in the drivers seat this fall , ha,ha.
When Tim gets the new house done they will all live just across the field from my folks . Fall Harvest – The beans are getting close with another week yet to ripen the green spots.
We found a new Cider and Donut place called Apple Barrel Cider Mill in Ithaca run by Mennonites . We have always gone to Uncles Johns our whole life but it has gotten so commercial the cider now tastes like apple juice and watered down a bit. We heard this new place was old fashioned good old thick cider like Uncle Johns made 30 years ago.
We weren’t taking any chances so we bought just 2 donuts and we asked for four small free samples of cider. It was

Even the donuts at Uncle Johns are now just like a commercial bakery makes donuts so we tried the new ones and they had that old fashioned crunch on the outside . So we bought 6 more donuts and a half a gallon of cider and off we went . We will be going back their on our next visit, ha,ha. YUM
Hearthstone Oven Resturaunt – We tried a new place to eat today after Alex’s mom Sara told us about it too. Also run by Mennonites and just good old fashioned food. They also have a nice selection of baked goods. After eating a great meal we had to grab 6 cookies to take home, ha,ha.
Not a good day for our diet program but most of the goodies go in the freezer for another time. Got to get back to jogging tomorrow . (:>)
