Here are the first three pics of the almost completed Italian Acco Grader. There is no doubt this is the most unique machine I have ever made a model of. This one of a kind awesome model is definately going to be one of my all time favorite models I have ever built. Umberto Acco who built the real one must have had a great vision because it looks very functional . 1700 H.P. and a 33 foot blade still makes this the biggest grader in the world and it was built over 26 years ago.
I just have to put the caution stripes on the bumpers yet after lunch and it will be finished. I’ll post a couple more pics of it tomorrow with the final stripes in place.
This afternoon I will cut out the first parts for the main frame of ( (THE BEAUTY ) and the beast heavy haul truck.
ACCO GRADER VIDEO CLIP – I took a short video clip of the Acco Grader on the bench before I brought it in the house today . Later tonight I will post it in the video section for you to look it over as I scanned over it with the movie camera.
I am very pleased with how it turned out and I want to give another thanks to Kevin Kenny for his help in sending me several more pics of the real Acco Grader.
THREE DEGREES- Well the ground should set up now a little with this artic cold air. It was muddy plowing yesterday under the snow.
ONE MORE INCH OF SNOW OVERNIGHT- We got 6 inches total of new snow now so I should get the sled out this afternoon and go for a ride.
