Cabin Fever
Our extreme cold winter is taking its toll. Not so much because of the snow, but more because the temperatures aren’t climbing above 32 degrees. Even with tons of salt on our roads only the main road and the freeway are clear. That leaves thousands of backroads snow-covered and the top layer polished smooth like ice. It has been over two months since our side street has melted down clean and dry. And that is what is causing so many accidents and deaths. It’s hard to get up and look out the window and hear the weatherman say below zero with a high today of 7 degrees. It is a real Groundhog Day kinda feeling. Day after day and week after week more ice and cold. But Deb and I are very thankful and try to think positive and know each day is a gift. Yes, the winter and the cold are not good but it is still a great day as long as I have Deb with me every day to share just one more day together. Some people think Deb and I are too close and do too much together but we are the happiest just the two of us doing the simple things in life. I’ve always said Less is More and I still believe that.
Don’t take today for granted. Try to see the positive in your lives. We thank God every day for giving us this nice little life we have.
Have a great Monday !!
