Craigslist – I got a few calls and a couple lookers but they are nervous to invest money fixing the engine. So today we pulled the add out and decided to either pull the tires and rims off and just strip it and sell the fenders, hood, side covers, starter, front axle, rear axle , radiator , steering box, hydraulic pump, water pump, engine head, etc.
Without the tires I will only have $800 in it so i should be able to get that for all those parts. Everyone seems to be looking for parts for these Bolens / Iseki tractors. The rear axle and transmission has got to be worth $600.00 and the front axle and steering knuckles has to be well worth $400.00 . Starter worth $80.00, fenders worth $60.00 , hood , front and side shields worth $80.00 , pump worth $80.00 , Radiator worth $80.00 , steering system worth $100.00 , dash worth $50.00 , head worth $100.00 with rocker arms and valves.
So now i can tear the engine apart and it won’t matter if i can’t get it back together . It will actually be great fun .
I also wondered about getting a 24 hp vanguard engine and putting in it and eliminate the radiator and diesel engine completely. It would still be a great tractor for me with a nice 24 hp Vanguard repower.
