Boyne Mountain Trail Groomers today’s visit.

Road Trip – After 12 days in a row of icy slippery roads and dozens of accidents and several fatalities today M-32 was finally dry and safe. Deb and I have cabin fever so we decided to drive the 25 minute trip to Boyne for lunch. We also stopped on the way back at Boyne Mountain. Not many people skiing yet. I always like to drive and see if any of the trail groomers are outside. There were five older ones ouside and I’m sure several new ones inside. For many years I have wanted to build a garden tractor with tracks.
I am facinated with tracked vehicles. There was a small tracked vehicle on e-bay this fall for a cheap price but it was already sold.
I was going to use the tracks, bogie wheels, sprockets, etc and adapt them to a garden tractor.
Craftsman , Snap-On, Cobalt, Husky, yata, yata, yata. When Deb and I got back to Gaylord I wanted to look at a new tool chest for my workshop.
I bought a Craftsman tool chest 35 years ago . It looks kinda rough but every drawer still rolls good. It has been a good tool chest all these years. Seven years ago I bought 8 new cheap tool boxes ,
They are Husky brand just to put under each workbench . The drawers on them don’t slide good at all but for the price they have been fine. After looking at several brands and several prices we came home to think it over. When your young you know you will get plenty of years use out of them, but at my age I am not sure I will be around long enough to see it delivered next week, lol
Great Lakes Freezing Early This year- The Great Lakes Freighters are already struggling in a few ports as the cold weather freezes them up several weeks early.
2 or 3 inches of snow for tonight- It seemed good to get one day off fom shoveling snow today but back at it in the morning and Sunday a big snowstorm heading our way again.
Never thought Deb and I would consider going to Florida for a couple months but it is sounding better and better , ha,ha.
Have a great Thurs.
