Body work – After waiting several days to let the paint dry real good today I wheeled it out with heavy duty buffing compound and then shined it up good with the final finish liquid. It shines very good !!
Letourneau D-800 Wheel Dozer Progress-
Yesterday I worked on the hinge brackets that hold the two frame sections together and got them welded in place and inserted the pivot pins . Now the frame is on wheels and pivots. I also built the two steering cylinders and brackets and they are attached in the center of the frame so now they move in and out when the frame turns.
Fall weather on the first day of school – Deb and I got our walk in this morning and it sure seems like fall now . Quite a few leaves on the ground already but it is from being so dry all summer. We did finally get two days of rain and the lawns are starting to grow again so today I look forward to doing some lawn work for the first time in over a month .
Grove Crane- Nicole scaled up three more sets of information for me yesterday so now I have enough model projects to keep me busy the whole winter and I can pick and choose from 8 projects already scaled and ready to go. The Cat offroad articulating truck might be next as i have wanted to build one of those for a very long time.
First day of school today – Always brings back memories of Nicole waiting to get on the bus all those years and Deb and I watching her ride off down the road. One day not too far off she will be doing that with Terak (:>) (:<) happy and sad
Have a great Tues.
