Buckley Steam Engine and Tractor Show- Deb and I got up early and made the drive over to Buckley . It’s about a 2 hour drive and we walked in the gate about 10:00 am. Temps in the 60’s was perfect. By noon we were 3/4 done viewing the tractors and venders tents.
We took a break for a order of home made french fries , two hot dogs and one order of home made ice cream. We then finished seeing things and headed for a train ride to relax. Around 2:00 we sat down on a bench in a nice shady spot with a perfect breeze and took off our shoes and socks. Oh, that felt good !! The announcer spoke up and said the tractor parade would begin at 3:00 so we decided to sit and watch the people go by . We sat at the main intersection and between hundreds of people and dozens of big tractors, golf carts, garden tractors , doodle bugs, etc. we were surprised there was not any mishaps. It was kinda like disfunction junction, ha,ha. Good thing everyone was only going about 10mph .
If I had my choice of my favorite tractors for the day they would be this pair of case 4×4 all wheel steer tractors. Our neighbor had one like this many years ago and i always thought they were pretty cool for their time.
Deb and I stopped in Traverse City for supper and got home before 8:00 at night.
Something so simple yet so fun with your favorite person in the whole world.
The simple things in life (:>)
Have a great Thurs.
