Cat 390DL , 1/8th scale- Todays picture shows the rear corner view of the next model I will start cutting out on Monday . Originally I was going to build it in 1/12th scale and because this is a one of a kind model I want to build it larger . It will not be the same scale as the mining shovel models that are 1/12th but it will still look awesome in the larger 1/8th scale. I can’t wait to get started on it on monday .
Mack R Series parts painted- This afternoon I painted the trailer , stands and foldup ramps to complete the painting with the spray gun. I painted the cab on Sunday afternoon so i will work on the cab interior tomorrow and put the windows in too. I worked on the decals tonight .
I still have to work on building the wheel centers later this week.
Gaylord Snowmobile Trails – Deb and I went for a ride south of town to Waters, Mi. yesterday after I got done painting to see the snowmobile trails and they were muddy looking. Very poor conditions the whole ten miles sought of Gaylord. Possible lake effect snow for Thurs. night but that is so unpredictable and such narrow bands it won’t help the snowmobile season . Most people are not really complaining about the mild winter and neither are Deb and I.
It actually seems so nice .
Have a great Monday .
