Cat Offroad Truck Parts- Todays picture shows my next model project. I have always loved dumptrucks and even more I have liked offroad dumptrucks that articulate . I have the front and rear frame sections roughed in and the side to side swivel joint and articulating joint parts all cut out and drilled and welded in place. So now the six tires and rims are on so it rolls. I also have the two front fenders cut out bent and welded in place. The first week is always rough starting a new project as it is a lot of imagination involved. It looks easy to do but even for me every model is a brand new shape and size and it takes several hours before I see anything that looks like anything like the real machine looks like. I guess it is that challenge that keeps it interesting to me. I know none of my models are perfect but I do want them to look kinda like the real thing. (:>)
Letourneau D-800 Coal Dozer – I moved all the parts to another workbench for a few days . With the cool wet weather I want to make sure the paint is good and dry . I spray a thick coat on the metal parts. I do not like rattle cans of spray paint. I have always layed a thick coat from the paint gun on my models.
Bruised rib – It’s been a week now that I bruised my rib and no decrease in the pain.
I still have a bad elbow from falling on it last winter on the ice. I’m sure it chipped it and it healed up wrong . I do not take any kind of prescription drugs and I do not like doctors.
So i just deal with the pain and am fine with it. It is just part of growing old . I would fell worse just laying around hoping it would heal up.
The sad thing is everyone we know is on drugs and they keep taking more and more of them because they no longer work and they all have all kinds of pains too just like me. Only difference is they are dishing out hundreds of dollars a month , ha,ha.
God decides when my last day is and it will be without drugs. I have had a great little life and I am ready to go when God says it is time. I have no desire to lay in a nursing home for 15 years plugged in and drugged up. just saying (:>)
Greenbay Packers / Detroit Lions – Not a great football season yet for us Packer fans so we’ll see if they can beat the Lions tomorrow, ha,ha.
Carmel Apples- This time of year I start to crave a carmel apple so a couple days ago Deb and I decided to go purchase one of those $6.00 fancy ones in the fancy candy store. It was terrible, not sure how long it had set there but the carmel had little to no flavor and the nuts were stale and the apple was mushy. We threw half of it away .
Deb made some real fresh carmel apples today and what a difference they were. YUM
I will NEVER buy another Carmel Apple in a store again.
