Cat D-11R 1/3rd Scale Dozer Progress- Todays progress picture shows the engine hood and the radiator housing roughed in . I also worked more on some of the left side tank details . After having a great toy building hobby now for over 14 years it is still great I get so excited to start each new project. I can’t wait to work on this dozer model each day . Next I will work on the right side tank and details.
The exciting thing about building a dozer this big is I have no idea how to do it . Each day I just take the next baby step in the project not knowing how to do it in this large size. That is a lot of the exciting part and the challenge. I have no interest in building two of anything .
I still have no idea of how I am going to make the tracks or sprockets or bogie wheels and I don’t even care. I just know when I get to that point I will just tackle it and hopefully it will look similar to the real one. But already in my mind I can imagine it all done with the big blade on the front and the big ripper assembly hanging out the rear . If I put too much thought into the whole project at once it might be a little overwhelming so I just focus on a small part of the machine at a time. The bottom line is it is a great way to spend my winters and it is a labor of love.
FRIDAY FISHFRY- Deb thawed out some codfish and put a fresh coat of drakes batter on it with a few fries in our Emeril Deep Fryer .
I just had small portions and was aware of my weightwatchers status. YUM ! Next Friday Deb is making a homeade raised crust pizza , yum yum ! Even on weightwatchers we still need a little break with small portions. (:>) I have lost 4 lbs so it really does come off fast the first week. I can’t wait to until the weather gets nice to get back to running . Running thins me down the fastest.
FREEZING RAIN / SNOW for Gaylord Today – We got freezing rain heading our way but so far it has just dropped a quick 2 inches of snow . Hopefully we won’t get a ice storm.
Have a great Friday !!
