Cat D-11R Ripper – Todays picture shows a nice view of a ripper assembly and if you start counting the parts you will realize this is going to be a good sized project in itself with me having to design and build over one hundred parts . But I think a D-11 Dozer just has to have a ripper on the back (:>) The ripper I will build will have one tooth like this picture.
Cat D-11R 1/3rd scale progress- I should get the third and forth ripper cylinders roughed in by tonight and then i will sand and prime them tomorrow. Then I will begin the design for number 7 and number 8 cylinder that will mount on the sides of the blade beams that angle the big blade. Very excited to see this model get completed. It is going to be very unique and another one of a kind Don Campbell Model.
Jogging – It’s been over 8 weeks now I pulled a groin muscle and I’m afraid it’s just not healing with me working in the shop everyday. I will just continue to deal with the pain and no drugs . In fact today on our morning walk I kicked it up a knotch and ended up running 12 blocks. I don’t feel any worse this afternoon and it felt great running. At my age I got a feeling everyday from here on out there will be pain, ha,ha.
