Cat D-11T Carry Dozer- Todays picture is from last fall’s trip to the Va. coal mines . My friend Leon had never seen any of these monster machines in person so I invited him to go along with me.
He owns a couple smaller dozers but he was very impressed when he walked up to several of the D-11’s parked on the mountain top. There were about 15 D-11’s and about 15 D-10’s on the sights.
Even after visiting the coal mines several times I am still just as excited everytime I stand next to these monster machines.
Leon also enjoyed the haul trucks but he was really AMAZED at the size of the Cat 994F loaders !! He talked about the monster loaders all the way back home, ha,ha. He also really enjoyed the mining shovels . It was fun seeing his excitement and reminded me of the very first time I saw them.
Cat 1/3rd scale D-11R Progress- Today I got the roof attached to the cab but will move on and not do the doors until later. Now i am building the first corner fender tank. I will post the first progress picture soon.
March 1st !!!!! YIPPEE We have plenty of snowbanks and it’s 14 degrees and cold winds but just knowing it is now March is awesome and just a few more weeks of winter.
Weightwatchers – I told Deb I would officially start walking on the treadmill on March 1st and I did it this morning . Also today I will start writing down my weightwatcher points . I got a month before I start running outside again . I have been cutting back on my eating now for two weeks but it officially starts today . It was fun and helped pass the winter but now it’s time to get buff again , ha,ha.
I have a winter body and a summer body, ha,ha. Right now it is hard to believe I ran a 5K race and came in 2nd place and also beat over 250 younger runners. But I am ready to go, as soon as the sidewalks melt and get dry Deb and I will also start walking outside .
We do really good eating healthy once the weather gets nice.
Gaylord Machine and Fabrication – Yesterday I ordered 7 more 10 foot by 4 foot sheets of metal for the dozer model project.
