Cat Loaders- I have always loved loaders , they are so handy and really do a lot of work. One of my favorite models was the monster Cat 994D loader and the Letourneau L-2350 Loaders I built a few years ago. It would be fun to build a newer version of the Cat 994F in large scale sometime.
GMC TRUCK REPAIRS- Deb and I dropped of my truck this morning and $850.00 later we got it back tonight. The leaking antifreeze problem is fixed . The mechanics were surprised my 16 year old truck only has 26,000 miles andis in near mint condition.
We looked at new trucks over the weekend because my truck seems to be starting to nickle and dime us lately. But after looking at the prices of the new ones and see how tinny they look and how plain they look we decided to let my truck nickle and dime us some more, ha,ha. The mechanics said my truck is a very good truck and is well worth fixing it . We also looked at some used trucks that were just 2 years old and they all had over 50,000 miles on them. And they wanted almost $20,000.00 for them. It’s good to be reminded sometimes, ha,ha.
Morning Jog 20 degrees- It was nippy this morning as Deb and I headed out the door to go get our morning run/walk done. But it don’t take only a few blocks to warm up running. Then the walk home feels great after heating up from the running. (:>).
Hey DEB ! What’s for Supper ?- We actually celebrated tonight and went out to Culvers Resturaunt for supper . Deb had buy one get one free coupons so it was a cheap date, ha,ha.
We were celebrating the truck didn’t cost $1,000.00 to get fixed, ha,ha.
Rimpull Decals made- We got the decal paper and tonight I got the decals printed out. Tomorrows first project will be to get the decals applied and take several finished pictures and a video clip of the finished 10 foot long tandem trailer model.
Hitachi Ex-8000 Mining Shovel Progress- Today I got the rear counterweight all welded together so now all four sides are built for the bottom of the revolving structure. Next I will start building upward towards the cab. Friday I will post the next progress picture.
