Cat Scrapers- Todays picture shows what i think are Cat 657 Scrapers. But maybe they are 637 scrapers. I was driving near Alma yesterday and spotted them and had to stop and get a couple pictures. Seeing I am in the process of building a 6 foot long model of a 657E Coal Bowl Version it was very cool to see four big scrapers in person. There aren’t any 657’s in Northern Michigan. I stopped a couple weeks ago at the Kalkaska Cat Dealer and he said there weren’t any in the area I could go see on a job sight.
Farmtown- Deb and I spent the weekend in St.Louis, Michigan on the farm with my folks. All the crops looked good and the beans were starting to ripen. The corn and beets looked good too. Always fun spending time downstate.
Cat Scraper – Tomorrow I will work more on the cushion hitch parts and neck of the model. There are a lot of parts in that area of the machine.
One more week til Labor Day- Schools don’t open here until the day after Labor Day . So one more official week of summer for the school kids.
