Cat Track Loader- My friend Mike bought this to lift and load scrap metal with and he said it really has the lifting power. We were going to fire it up and try it out but the batteries were too low.
I sure enjoyed my visits here too playing on all the cool machines. This also was possible because of my model building hobby.
Miked had me build him a experimental 1/12th scale pull behind scraper model that he took to engineers to look at for possible manufacturing of some real ones. He had taken all the best features from of his 24 real scrapers but then the economy tanked and everything was put on hold. It was exciting though thinking my model was being used in the process.
Engineers were very interested in many of his ideas for other machines too. He actually had one of his machine ideas built in the factory. I believe they are still fine tuning the 3rd or fourth machine now . Very interesting process.
Just too bad everything has come to a hault .
Cat D-11R 1/3rd scale dozer blade progress- Today I cut out parts for the seven front bolt on blade edges and got all the bolt holes marked out and drilled. Tomorrow I will work more on them.
