1968 Corvette – I had to sell my first corvette because I got drafted into the Army during Viet-Nam . My parents thought I should sell it in case I got killed. God pretected me and just a few months later i was stationed in Mass. I got a small apartment off base and drove home to Michigan to get Deb and a few weeks later we went Corvette shopping for the second time. I ended up buying another red Corvette Convertable in Lowell, Mass. This one had a removeable hardtop.
Deb and I enjoyed our time off the base on my days off cruising New England in the Vette. Cape Cod, Plymouth Rock, Conn, R.I. , Boston, Salem , Salisbury Beach looking for covered bridges, the White Mountains of N.H. , and Maine. This picture shows the Vette outside our little cabin by the ocean in Maine where we stayed the weekend. I was a Private and driving a Corvette to the Army Base and people used to wonder how that was possible when most of them didn’t have a car at all. We made the best of being in the Army and still thank God to this day for keeping me safe.
Mack Truck Model Progress- I got the left side mirror assembly welded together, the left battery box, the left side fuel tank welded and bolted to the frame.
Green Bay Packers- It’s Sunday ! and that means FOOTBALL and we get to watch the Packers , Oh YEA !!
Gaylord Snow – Our snow is all melted and the beginning of a mild winter so far. Area Ski resorts will not be open this Thanksgiving with above normal temperatures.
Have a great Sunday with the ones you love and be sure to thank God for this one more day he has given us.
