DON AND DEBBIE CAMPBELL LOSE 23 LBS. IN 4 WEEKS NOT EATING DIET FOOD.
Today was our fourth week of eating healthier, but we don’t buy any diet food. We eat real butter, real mayo, regular pop, 2% milk, whole grain bread, steaks on the grill , chicken on the grill and today we are cooking up a batch of barbe-cued ribs on the grill with lots of regular barbe-cue sauce. We are eating less of this stuff and making healthier choices too.
I’m sure you are wondering why we gained the weight in the first place then. The difference now is we right down and weigh everything before we eat it. That is the difference , before we ate until we were stuffed.
Now I know I get 2000 calories a day and Deb gets 1500 calories a day. So to continue to get everything we always ate, we just must make the portion sizes smaller. The good news is we still get all the regular goodies we like. I have lost 3 inches off my waist in just 4 weeks. We are proof it is not what you eat as much as portion size.
MOREL MUSHROOMS – I have had a (small plate) of deep fried moral mushrooms everyday since last Sunday. umm good!! Otherwise I would have even lost more weight this week.
We should get more mushrooms next week (:>)
MOTORHOME , CAMPING SEASON – I walked down to the shed this morning and got the motorhome and brought it home. I will get the tanks and pipes flushed out and get it ready to go camping soon. With the high price of gas , we will not go as far, but we still love camping and plan to use it this camping season.
TEREX TITAN TRUCK MODEL PROGRESS- Here is the next picture of the big Titan Truck Model on my workbench. This shows the progress on the right side of the frame. It is looking good , Next week I will get it completed and start the body work.
ROAD CONSTRUCTION – This Mon. they will start digging up our street for new sewers and new curbs and gutters. It will be a long dusty summer , but it will seem very nice when it is done. We live on a corner so we just drive across the street to get out so it won’t be too bad.
TRI-STATE MINING UPDATE- Deb talked to John’s wife yesterday and she said John has not taken a day off since the tragedy in the mine. She said he needs to keep busy to get through this.
She also said the day before the accident that John was running the Fiat-Allis Dozer in the exact spot where it was buried on Tues for the fellow who called in sick. . She said it is very rare he runs another piece of equipment.
