Here is another picture from our trip last Sat. . This machine used to load container ships years ago. But Russ built a set of forks for it and now uses it to move machines around the grounds. He said a set of forks for it would have been $30,000 . So he built his own.
He said there were two welders welding 16 hours on each side of the forks. Sure don’t look like forks would take that long to make. But he said they ended up saving $20,000 dollars by building them themselves.
