Don Campbell installing new distributor cap and rotor .

Family Truckster – Todays picture shows me replacing the distributor cap and rotor on my 1996 GMC Z-71 stepside . It just turned over 30,000 miles last week. It’s still a great truck and we use it all winter. The truck would not start yesterday after letting it set in the back shed for a couple weeks in the damp weather. I thought maybe moisture in the cap so i replaced it. But it still would not start . Then I thought possibly a fuel supply problem. After looking things over the ground wire had rusted the screw in half from the winter salt underneath. But the cap and rotor were pitted and were original so it was time to replace them anyway. But with $3.99.9 for unleaded gas this old truck will be lucky to be driven 100 miles all summer. They are saying it is going to $6.00 a gallon when the summer traffic begins. Times is a changing !!
Cat D-11R 1/3rd scale dozer- I am busy working on the track parts for the left side and will post the next progress picture tomorrow of Fri.
Day 5 diet – Deb and i are doing great on day five . It’s crunch time and we know it and we know exactly what it takes and we just do it every spring.
Have a great Wed. !!
