Pond Digging – Todays picture is my friend working on a job site digging a pond. I took some video of it and couldn’t believe how sloppy everything was . I was sure one of the machines would get stuck but they didn’t . I could not walk in it so i had to wait until he moved the excavator over to get me. Once I took over the controls I was having great fun extending the boom out and easing the bucket under water and easing it towards me and filling the bucket each time with slop. What a fun experience for me. I did end up getting a little muddy and it got in the car on the floor mat but it was well worth it. He also has a 80 foot long reach and two or three other smaller long reach excavators. I still love being around machinery, big or small.
First day back from vacation- It seemed great to sleep at home last night . We slept in a little this morning and then headed out to walk and run . The Northern Michigan woods are peaking with color right now so we got home just in time.
It seems so nice to be back home in our little town after driving in all that traffic. It was our first road trip in our new car and we ended up getting a crack in the windshield from a stone bouncing off a truck. The car did not ride as good as our Cadillac but surprisingly it did ride pretty good all that ways.
Model building – We got a list of things to get done today to get caught up but tomorrow I will be back in the shop working on the Cat Scraper. A week from today I should be welding the first steel for the Chessie Diesel Locomotive. (:>)
Deb will sort and download the pics and video clips in the next few days and then i can start posting some of them.
