DON CAMPBELL STARTS SUPERBLADE FOR KOMATSU 575A SUPER DOZER

FOUR INCHES OF NEW SNOW THIS MORNING- I went out and plowed with the tractor this morning. It was a sloppy , wet mess. Now my nice clean tractor is all covered with salt and slop. The first nice day I will go get it and clean it all up .
ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY INCHES OF SNOW SO FAR THIS WINTER- The man at the National Weather Service 10 miles south of Gaylord said on the radio this morning we have received 160 in. of snow now for this winter.
KOMATSU SUPER BLADE- I worked in the shop over the weekend and I got the lift cylinders built for the dozer frame.  I began construction of the blade like the one in this picture. The first thing I did was to build the two side frame rails that will connect the blade to the tractor. I now have them built and the end brackets welded to them.  This afternoon I will start cutting out the parts for the actual blade. If all goes well, by the end of this week I should post the first pics of the roughed in 1/12th scale Komatsu 575A SuperDozer Model.  SPRING BREAK – With spring break getting close it will be fun to get away from Northern Michigan and head to the big city where we can relax and have fun with millions of speeding cars and trucks and millions of people, ha,ha. Really, we have adapted very well to the D.C. area. There are certain hours of the day that you don’t want to be in traffic, but other than that, it isn’t bad getting around. I enjoy driving around their. Only three times have I almost run someone off the road or had a head on collision because I was going the wrong way on a one way road, LOL ,REALLY, that did happen ,ha,ha.
