Don Campbell watches M&M Excavating dig up his driveway with a Komatsu Excavator.
I talked to the operator of this Komatsu excavator quite a bit over the last two weeks . I hope his boss doesn’t ever read this and think he wasn’t working hard enough , ha,ha.
I asked him about M&M Excavating using so many Komatsu machines . He told me the boss said they can buy two Komatsu machines for the price of one from Cat. He said the downside was after a below normal hours of use they start to wear out much faster.
He said he enjoys the Komatsu , but he said nothing beats the CAT equipment. M&M Excavating also uses quite a bit of John Deere Construction Equipment too.
John Deere has some very nice looking loaders and dozers.
I enjoyed watching the Komatsu excavator operator operate the shovel over the last couple weeks and I asked him about the contests they have where operators pick up eggs and such with their big equipment . He said he has a friend that won that contest a year or two ago.
He said that he could pick up a dime off the pavement with his bucket, so that was pretty cool .
My brother and his wife progress- My mom said they get to go for their first ride in a van today to visit the doctors. So that is more great news.
