RH-400 RED and WHITE Paint- Todays picture shows the colors I will end up painting the 1/12th scale model of the RH-400 .
Today I am busy working on building the tracks and will get them done by tonight. Then tomorrow I will get back to work on the rear top deck parts . Todays picture is not the picture I used to build the model , but this is the colors that Leon requested it be painted. It should look very nice next to the Liebherr R9800 mass excavator.
BEAUTIFUL THURS. MORNING WALK- Deb and i been walking 6 miles a day and this morning on our first 3 mile walk is was so nice out we didn’t even wear a sweatshirt. (:>).
2009 Gaylord Alpenfest – Last night on our walk we see the downtown has bgun getting ready for Alpenfest . The Sugar Bowl Resturuant now has the large canopy set up on the sidewalk for next weeks festival. Deb and I always enjoy the nightly entertainment on the Alpinefest Stage.
ALPINEFEST KETTLECORN BOOTED FROM MAINSTREET- Each year Deb and I would buy a small bag of fresh popped kettle corn just before heading to watch the entertainment . But we read in the paper this week that this year he got booted from his normal mainstreet location and may not be able to get a new spot this year? So yes, there is politics involved in these little towns , as he always did one heck of a good business and now they want him to move back in the corner in the dark , ha,ha. Hopefully he will be able to still be a part in the Alpinefest 2009.
Traverse City Cherry Festival – Two more days and the 2009 National Cherry Festival will be history. This is the first year we did not go to it in many years. But we have still had a fun , busy summer.
