DON CAMPBELLMODELS HITS THREE QUARTERS OF A MILLION VISITORS TODAY !!!!

This machine is a LeTourneau D-800 Letro-Dozer. As some of you know I really rubber tired loaders too. This LeTourneau D-800 machine caught my eye a couple years ago and I just knew I had to eventually build a model of it too. Rated at 800 hp , back in it’s day , it would have been a monster of a machine. Even today out of the coal mines it would still be a huge machine at 42 feet long. With the blade measuring just over 21 feet wide, it is only inches smaller than the measurements of the next Komatsu 575A Super Dozer I will start building a model of this week. I received the info I needed on it yesterday and I want to give a special thanks to Dale for getting it for me. It too, will be a very fun machine to build .
HENDRICKSON TRUCK MODEL FINAL ASSEMBLY- Deb and I started out for Traverse City yesterday and got about 10 miles out from town and the roads were very icy, and the wind was blowing the snow all over, so visibility was very poor. We had a quick family meeting and we both decided to wait and try going today. So we stayed around town and just did some errands in Gaylord. I also worked a few hours in the shop on the truck model final assembly. With the white rims painted and dry, and all the black frame parts dry, I got the complete lower frame parts assembled and the tires and rims on the truck. I also got the inside of the cab painted. I am very happy with how it is coming together. I worked on the decals and got them printed out too. I should get it all assembled by tomorrow night and will post the first finished pics of it .
THREE QUARTERS OF A MILLION VISITORS – Seventy -percent of the people who visit my blog/webpage each month are regular visitors , and the other 30 persent are first time visitors. So I want to give another big Thank You to all of you who continue to visit my blog /webpage each week and each month. It is still fun for me to share my model building hobby with so many nice people all over the world. Every 50,000 visitors , I post a new thank you to show my appreciation to you. And every 50,000 visitors I like to also give a another thank you to my very nice daughter, Nicole , for continuing to help me with the blog/webpage.(” I was blogging when blogging wasn’t cool !”), ha,ha. Five years ago no-one heard the word ( blog), but three times a week I was posting a new picture on my webpage with a little write-up about the pics. So I was kinda blogging before blogging was cool, ha,ha.
TRAVERSE CITY TRIP TODAY- Well, we are going to plan a trip again today to Traverse City . If the roads are better we should make it , if not , Deb has tomorrow off and we will try again , ha,ha.
Have a nice Sunday with the ones you love.
