1964 Corvette – 39 years ago this month Deb and I were dating and we drove to Saginaw , Michigan and test drove three Corvettes. We drove two of them at Eggers Used Cars , they always had a lot of used Corvettes. It was so exciting to test drive them . We drove two newer Vettes their and then left to go to Kens Vette Shop a few miles down the street. They had this 1964 convertable on the lot and we test drove it and loved it.
I bought it and we did the paper work and Deb followed me home in her new Pontiac Firebird. When we pulled in the driveway she was crying and I asked her what was wrong . She said she was sad because she thought I would break up with her because I now drove a Corvette, ha,ha. I gave her a big hug and told her that was our first memory of a Very Exciting Thing we did together !!!!
But that night we did the second very exciting thing TOGETHER Oh Yea !
You probably already know what that was, ha,ha. We headed out in the Vette together and it was a romantic evening and we went to a fancy resturaunt to celebrate getting the Corvette (:>)
After that we then did the THIRD EXCITING THING !! We went to the appliance store and I bought a new stereo system for my room. Guess what the fourth thing was? My mom let Deb come into my bedroom and listen to the new stereo . Oh Yea ! Now things were really falling into place and getting closer to making a move .
A Corvette, fancy resturaunt , groovy music in the 8 track , I knew it was time to make my best move !! Finally I had Deb on the bed making my best move when all of the sudden my MOM !!! walked in!!! YIKES !
I am so glad I had bunk beds and Deb was on the bottom bunk and I was on the top bunk, ha,ha,ha. Busted ! So this old picture has a lot of fun first Corvette memories for us when we were dating .
What is really groovy is were still in love and still best friends. (:>)
