Chessie Toy Trains – I never thought I would build models as a young boy other than the plastic kits I bought at the hobby shop. Then in the Army I returned to the hobby shops in Mass. to buy model trucks . I built over 20 model trucks and loved them.
These days you know i started out building a few farm toys , then a few construction toys , then moved to my first ship model and then to monster mining machinery models. Well next month i will be moving to a brand new type of model you can see in this picture. (:>). This picture is very exciting to look at as i love the shapes of it. Although this picture shows a lovely young lady on board to give the scale , my modern Diesel Locomotive model will be much larger than this one. I figure this model is about 6 feet long and mine will be over twice this long. I am very excited to build my first train model. Later i will want to make a few coal hopper cars to hook behind it.
I still need to get a few more measurements but i am very close to having the info needed to get started.
I am busy building the scraper bowl cutting edge, the front apron door and lift linkage and the rear ejector wall and push cylinder . I am very excited seeing this 6 foot long scraper taking shape on my work bench .
I absolutlely love these monster sized models.
9/11- Everyone seems to have their opinion about 9/11 and we all go through so many emotions every year on that day. I agree with so many people but the saddest thing is our country is really hurting with very little hope for the 8 to 10 million jobs to ever return.
So we just got to try to really enjoy today and pray things somehow get better.
