Liebherr T-272 / T-282- Todays picture shows me stranding next to one of several Mining Trucks that were resting on a Sunday afternoon in a coal mine. This was the largest mining truck I had ever seen . I got to climb up in the seat and get the awesome view from the cockpit. (:>). I knew when we left that day that someday i would build a large model of one of these monster Liebherr Mining Trucks. The time is getting real close now as in about two weeks i will begin the design for a 1/12th scale Liebherr T-282 Haul Truck.
This one I am standing next too is only a T-272 and quite a bit smaller. This is going to be another awesome model to build. This truck will match the Liebherr R9800 Mass Excavator Model I built this year and will go to the same collector so he will have the matching set in his rare shovel collection of my one of a kind models.
ALPINEFEST 2009 – Last night Deb and I enjoyed the entertainment on the Alpenfest stage again for the 3rd evening with a talented little country singer gal . Tonight we will head back down for some irish singing/dancing music. Riverdance ? (:>).
Cool weather – With the highs barely getting out of the 50’s today, this has got to be a record for the coldest Alpinefest in a few years. Some people actually had blankets last night at the concert they were so cold.
MOMS SURGERY – Yesterday we drove downstate to see my mom in the hospital , they were just moving her into rehab. She is doing great walking on her new knee. She is very enthused and should come home by Monday . We are very thankful for great progress .
RH-400 Final Assembly- Today I am starting to assemble the painted parts for the big O&K RH-400 Shovel. It’s just starting to get the final look . I am very excited to see the final finished model.
