I got the axles now cut and the first lower frame parts cut out that will connect the trucks to the under frame.
This video clip also gives a better idea of the size of my shop in relation to the size of the train model. I am getting a lot of e-mails wanting me to make this a working diesel locomotive . What I do is metal art my goal is to make machines into steel models . Even though it would be great to see my models in action what holds me back is the extra 8 to 10 thousand dollars to do it plus an extra three months to do the work. But who knows maybe the 5 foot tall Cat D-11R Dozer will be my first running model. One of my JD 455 Diesel tractors would be perfect components with that diesel engine and the hydrostatic drive . ??
I have looked for a trashed kabota with a little diesel engine but even those are several thousand and they look like complete junk.
And I would not be happy putting a gas engine in it.
