Two Tracking
Spring always reminds me of when I was 14 and 15 and had a little homemade tractor. My friend down the road had one too. We just lived a couple of miles from the oil fields and we used to take off and drive half a day on the two-track trails. Once in a while, one of us would have to tow the other one back to the farm with a breakdown. Funny how different times of the year trigger thoughts back to childhood or high school days.
Today’s picture is a 4×4 vehicle that would have been a real hoot to drive through the oil fields. There was plenty of mud back there on those trails as well and one of us was always getting stuck. It was just simple and fun memories of long ago.
Working on my little garden tractors even now still reminds me of that little homemade tractor I had. They were great memories and I enjoy thinking back to those days while I’m in the workshop.
