Elk Park in Gaylord, Michigan – Todays picture is one Deb took this morning of me having a conversation with this lonely Elk .
Actually they just finished feeding them and the other hundred or so animals were all busy eating in the other corner. With several days of rain, the area was just a muddy mess.
Deb and I drive by the elk park everyday on our way to the Gaylord Post Office and once in a while we stop .
RUNNERS WORLD- Today is 43 days now of me running a morning 5K , just 7 days to go to my first goal of 50 5K’s. I still am being careful not to push it too hard yet until i lose another 20 lbs. For now the relaxing morning 5K’s are feeling great. I will slowly train all winter and in Feb. run my second race in Florida. Then when spring gets here i should be able to really enjoy my third race and be in great shape. I am still very excited every morning to hit the pavement and get my morning jogging done. My legs are getting very solid already. I know pushing it now is too soon and I would hurt my legs or knees. I read so many stories on Runners World of people pushing it too hard and never running again.
NEW TRUCK FUEL PUMP- My truck is running excellent now with the new fuel pump. It had not run good since the Gaylord GMC Dealer put in the 2nd new fuel pump. I told them it ran worse after they put the new pump in but they said just drive it and it should be fine. So the last two years my truck has not run perfect . I took it to another garage and they put in a new fuel pressure regulator and charged me big bucks too . They also said drive it a few days and it still never ran right. So yesterday I decided none of them know what they are doing . In less than a hour I put in a new pump, sender , wiring harness, filter and the truck runs like a new truck !!!!!
Very sad to get charged over $1,400.00 and still drive home a truck that didn’t run 100%.
I am very happy knowing from now on I will fix the fuel pump problems myself. (:>).
