Engineer Day at the Soo Locks this week.

Engineer Day -This Friday the public can walk over the locks gates and enter the operators facilities. It is interesting and there are hundreds of people who enjoy the yearly unique other view of the locks . Usually several Freighters enter and exit the locks and the public is within a few inches of the big ships. If your a bit of a boatnerd like me it is a fun day. Not positive yet if were going but if we do we may stop at the St. Ignace Car Show and watch the Friday night parade too.
Lawn cart- Todays picture shows me just finishing welding the spindles to the steel axle and mounting the wheels . These are the 26-12-12 tires and rims from the jd 430 I bought several weeks ago. I thought it would be cool to have a big tired cart to pull around the yard behind the mini jd 4020 tractor . Eventually I will build the 5 bottom plow to pull behind it.
Buckley Steam Engine Show – Maybe next year my half scale tractors will be done and I can take them to display at Buckley.
