Otsego County , Gaylord Michigan – Todays picture shows Debbie Campbell with a smile on her face after waiting three years to get a Iphone. Her daughter Nicole has had one for several years and our lack of sevice in Northern Michigan combined with contract experation dates today it finally worked out. And it was not easy either, it is the only one in Otsego County and Debbie was lucky enough to get it. Better yet, it was only $99.00 . The new phones are coming out in a few weeks and most people want one of them but Deb is excited to get this one.
Alpenfest 2010 5K run- It’s a few weeks yet until the 2010 Alpinefest in Gaylord in Otsego County but I am preparing to run in my first Alpenfest 5K run . Nicole and Bill were planning on running too but now with Nicole being pregnant we’ll have to see if she still wants to run or not. But either way I am going to be running this year .
I’m sure my time won’t be great but if i can come close to last years 5K race in Arlington , Va. when I ran it in 28.39 I will be very happy.
This will be my second ever race .
I ran a 5K on Tues. this week and today i ran my strongest 5K yet this morning. Combined with Weightwatchers I continue to shed lbs.
I feel the extra energy eating fresh veggies and fresh fruit everyday and very little meat . Very little bread and very little potatos and next to none on the butter. We’re no longer the Butterton family, ha,ha.
Deb is doing great again running and had her best run yesterday and today was her walking only day.
It will be a proud day at my age to complete a 5K race during the 2010 Alpenfest. (:>).
Backyard Progress- You can also see the new grass is doing pretty good. We have had no rain to speak of this year, it is so dry, storms continue to miss Gaylord and pass north or south of us.
The sprinklers have done pretty good greening it up but rain is so much better. I did throw down some more grass seed last week in a few thin spots. But I am very pleased how the lawn is looking . My good friend Maynard did a great job tilling and planting it.
P&H 5700 Progress- I continue to work away on the revolving house . I have most of the front now roughed in and am working on the boom support brackets. I figure one more week the whole model will be put together for the very first time. Can’t wait to see it . I will still have a lot to do building the bucket teeth, building the lower crawler area parts , etc. But one more week is what I am very excited for to see it progress that stage.
