This Diesel Locomotive model was a awesome project. It is my longest model so far at 15 feet long . Guessing the weight at about 1200 lbs. I’m very happy with the finished model. As always I am the first one to admit it is far from perfect . With my crude tools and tiny workshop I am very limited. But as far as metal art it does resemble a real Chessie GP-40 . Thanks again for all the nice e-mails all of you sent during the building process.
Today I will finish up a few small things and then I will clean up the shop and prepare to cut out the first Cat D-11R parts this week.
