Five LeTourneau Loaders being Built.

OUR TRIP TO TEXAS TO THE LETOURNEAU PLANT- We should find out in the next few days about the building of the world’s largest front end loader no. 3 completion date at the LeTourneau Factory.
Once we get the date we can confirm our trip.
Butch said once the parts arrive to the main plant , the loader assembly goes pretty quick.
We may have to change our original date and make the trip at a later date . Once we find out for sure we will post it, so if any of you want to meet us at any rib shacks on the way , ha,ha.
ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY-FOUR INCHES OF SNOW- The local paper said Gaylord has received 154 inches of snow so far this winter. So even with the very warm Nov. and Dec. , looks like we will end up with around 160 inches or so before winter is over. That is pretty normal for our area.
NEW DOLLAR COINS- The news said yesterday that there were a bunch of the new dollar coins that were missing some of the print on the edges of them. We bought 100 of them over the last few weeks. We checked them, but they all had the right printing on the edges of them.
1/12TH SCALE SuperDozer Model- I got all the tanks done and in place. Now I working on the steps , covers and light shields . I should get all that done by tonight and the main floor in it.
Next I will start on the cab walls and get the window and door openings all cut out with the plasma cutter. After the cab walls are tacked , then I will build the ROPS that goes over the cab and mounts to both sides of the dozer.
The model still doesn’t look like much , but a week from today it should start looking good.
