1/2 scale jd 9630 Tractor – Todays progress picture shows the side vents cut out and roughed in and also shows the front grill in place for the first time. Everything is still in fabricating mode so there are a lot of rough edges and holes in the metal that gets welded shut and body work done. So you still have to use your imagination a lot at this early stage.
The hood will still take me all next week to fine tune . A lot of inside hood work too to do yet and the frame extension work so the hood will pivot forward for access to the engine and gas tank. I am still debating on the fuel tank location and half to wait and see how much room I have on the left side tank . Going to be tricky to find a gas tank the right shape to fit in that confined area. The old gas tank was the full width of the rear fenders and way to big to fit the new location.
Snow, freezing rain , windy Sunday morning and a big snowstorm still heading our way. Going to be a mighty short summer, ha,ha.
Today As I said the Prayer at lunch I still thanked God for this Freezing Cold, Windy , Icy , snowy miserable day , ha,ha.
I thought of the people who passed away this last week and how they would have loved to be alive to see even a bad day . Be sure to be thankful for this one more day God has given us all. (:>)
