Garden tractor project from junkyard bound to looking better

anotherfunproject, originally uploaded by Don Campbell Models.

Garden Tractors- Two weeks ago I pulled this tractor in the workshop, actually I pushed it in the workshop, ha,ha. It’s hard to believe this is the same tractor I bought last fall for $100.00 . It has a 14 hp engine that runs excellent , a new battery , and hydrostatic drive transmission. I removed the tires and rims from the Bolens/ Iseki tractor with the bad engine block . I fabricated some new fenders , mounted some lights , installed a yellow seat and fabricated new exhaust tubing to weld to a upright muffler . Built a new little front bumper .
I even had two left over decals that fit great. Now I love this little tractor and it will make a fun little machine for Terak to drive someday pulling a trailer or wagon behind it helping grandpa with yard work.
It is not completely done as I still have work to do on the front lights. It would be fun to build a three point hitch with a actuator and a cute rear snow blade.
Today it will be pulled out of the shop along with the mini jd 4020 to give me plenty of room to convert the Steiner 4×4 articulating tractor over. I can’t wait to get going on that tractor conversion project.
Nicole and Bill do their walk through inspection this morning on their new house and one week from today they close on it and it will officially be ready to start moving in their stuff. How Exciting !!
We are so happy for them . (:>)
Have a great FRIDAY !!
