West Coast Choppers – Todays picture shows a version of a chopper the local law enforcement might have a problem with, ha,ha. Especially the six grenades (:>).
Gaylord air show was a big success with great weather both days .
Sunday afternoon we just sat in our backyard and watched as the airport is just two miles from our house.
We have moments when we wished we didn’t live so close to the airport hearing the constant noise from the jets coming and going !!
Actually I think about (one) small learjet comes and goes in the whole day , ha,ha so it isn’t bad at all.
Alpenfest 2010 5K Training – Today I was up early getting my Monday morning 5K training run done and I was right on my 28 minute time. Nicole bought me my registration and t-shirt for the race for part of my Fathers Day present . (:>). Even aft running a year it will seem strange and I will be nervous. Just something about the race thing makes me nervous. But I know it will feel great when i am done knowing I ran my second official 5K race at my age.
ALPINE CHOCOLAT HAUS – Friday morning Bruce had the ribbon cutting in Boyne City for the new Boyne City Chocolat Haus .
We made 8 or 10 trips to Boyne with Bruce and Barb checking on the progress and actually helping set up shelving and stocking the shelves one afternoon. It’s a very nice store and we hope Bruce great success on his second location.
St. Ignace Car Show – It’s almost time for the really big car show in Northern Michigan. Deb, Nicole and I have enjoyed going to the show for many years when she was growing up. Nicole is really car savy , she knows 95% of cars on the road . So that shows she must have enjoyed those car shows, ha,ha even on those days she told us she was bored. One highlight at the parade one year was 6 Dodge Vipers as her eyes lit up and she loved them. Little did she know her now husband Bill would buy one and she would get the feeling of being inside their own Viper !! Very COOL !!
Traverse City Cherry Festival – You know it’s full fledged summer when it’s time for the Traverse City Cherry Festival. I’m sure we will make the annual ride over to enjoy some fresh cherries too.
P&H – Today i will work more on building the last 40 or 50 parts for the lower frame and drive motors . If all goes as planned by this weekend I could have all the parts made.
