Rails to trails – Gaylord Bike trail is getting pretty familer to me these last four weeks as i average 100 miles of mountain biking a week. Two weeks ago I biked the Gaylord trail to Cheboygan around 45 miles. Today I decided the weather was cool and it was time to do it again but add on another 20 miles to Mackinaw City. So I left at 8:00am and biked for 6 hours and arrived at 2:00 downtown Mackinaw City after 65 miles.
I knew I could do it and I proved it today in pretty good time for only biking for 4 weeks. Todays picture shows me standing at the Sheplers main dock for Mackinaw Island. I felt very proud at my age to do this along with running 5 days a week and biking 10 to 20 miles a day 5 or 6 days a week. Now that I am getting into better shape do i feel younger , ya about a month younger , woopee ! ha,ha.
Cat 657E – I started the design last night for the cushion hitch assembly that i will work on next tomorrow.
Mackinaw City was cold and very windy today and the last 20 miles biking was rough with 30 mph head winds off the straits of Mackinaw.
No biking for me tomorrow for sure my hinee is going to be sore for a couple days, ha,ha.
