Gaylord Herald Times says so far this winter it has been milder with only 87 inches of snow in Otsego County.

But most of the storms have been 2 to 4 inches so the cost of snow removal has still been expensive already. The Otego County Road Commission and the Gaylord DPW has been spreading tons of salt keeping the area roads safe . They really do a great job compared to other parts of the country that completely shuts down with just one inch of snow.
We used to live in Alma , Mi. and when we first moved to Gaylord we could not believe how efficient the snowplow drivers were.
Roof Shoveling , Otsego County- Not too many of my neighbors have shoveled their roofs yet but I decided to clean off the back shed and the workshop roof. The deepest snow on the roof was around 24 inches so it was due.
SUPERBOWL SUNDAY – Can’t wait to sit down with all our superbowl goodies to munch on and watch the most exciting game in several years. Although I like the Steelers I have no use for their quarterback . This year alone four big shot quarterbacks have proven they are better and don’t have to obey our laws. So if the Steelers do win, I will be glad for the rest of the team.
Just hope it is a close scoring game to keep it intersting . Some past superbowl games were so boring we changed the channel.
Because it is Green Bay I’m sure that will not happen , ha,ha.
Chessie Train Paint- Today I should get the last sanding done and priming . If all goes well tomorrow I will do some test painting on some of the first parts.
Next week I will get all the dark blue parts painted. I am very excited to get to the painting stage . This is the longest time and the most steel I have ever used on a model.
This train is one of my top two models i have ever built . I really got a lot of positive comments from train people and that was pretty cool. I am very pleased how this 15 foot long model has turned out. Everything looks in porportion and that is tricky going this large.
I never know if it will look right until it is completely done.
So far it looks awesome to me !!
Have a great Sat.
