Home Depot Snow Removal from Roof
Here is a picture I took today of a crane at the Gaylord Home Depot with a small dump box hooked to it. We saw about ten guys on the roof with wheelbarrows and shovels loading this small metal box. The crane operated yelled to me and asked if he could lift my truck and plow up on the roof to speed things along. I gave him the thumbs up but Deb gave him the finger.
No, what I meant to say is Deb gave him the thumbs down, lol.
Would you believe less than 5% of Gaylord residents have shoveled their roofs even once yet? I have shoveled mine 3 times now. Just using a roof rake from the ground and getting half of the snow would really help. Most people could care less about snow on the roof.
My neighbor always pushes all his snow across the road and leaves a big pile for the City Snowplow to hit. Well, today I see the snowplow stop at his house while he was shoveling and have a little talk with him. After the plow left I see he wasn’t pushing the snow across the road now.
Icy Roads
6 degrees and more snow this morning and all the roads are icy again. Atlanta is almost 70 today and all the snow is gone, but I’m sure they are still talking about their rough winter, ha, ha.
I would just be happy to see my driveway dry again. It has been several weeks and I hand shovel my driveway every time it snows even less than an inch. I hate that ice buildup on my driveway.
