Home Made Tractors – A year or so ago I got the bug again to build a JD 4×4 Articulating Tractor in half scale i could drive and plow snow with . Deb helped me do a rough image of me and a jd 9630 tractor and downsized it to look closer to half scale. Well as always for the last 20 years for one reason or another my plan to build that mini tractor did not happen . I did have this picture printed out and it was hanging on the wall along with a few others. It pretty cool now to look at it knowing that out in my workshop this is actually happening .
Today I worked on the left side safety handle and the left side cab corner posts.
Tomorrow I will work on the top roof braces. I did sit in the cab today with both tanks on and I did get a idea of the cab size with the rear cab corner posts now on. My legs and arms fit in the cab nice but the fattest parts of my body won’t fit .
No surprise about that even if i lost 50 lbs it is not possible unless i was mini me , ha,ha. With the cab windows and the front of the cab protecting my legs from the wind it should be much more comfortable than being completely exposed to the the wind and blowing snow when plowing next winter. I’m thinking of mounting the strobe light on the top of my head , lol.
