Garden Tractor Tires- Here are the other Tri-rib tires I got yesterday from Mill Tire out of Ohio. They are going to look so cute on the front of this narrow front jd 720 .
Antique Tractor parts – Todays progress picture shows me starting the sheet metal work on the front hood of the half scale jd . There is still a lot of adding more metal, cutting openings for screens , trimming temporary brackets, etc. I already see I have to trim more off the bottom edge of the tapered side panel. I know this is going to turn out very cute when it is done. I will work one more week on this project and then I will get back to model building . I spent the last few weeks on the four garden tractors getting them started and on the wheels I wanted for them. Once they are all 1/2 done I can go back and work on any of them pretty easy.
Most people only take on a single 1/2 scale tractor project at a time so for me to take on three plus a jd 110 restoration all at the same time is pretty crazy. I have had so much fun the last few weeks it has just been awesome .
jd five bottom plow – I still am going to build a five bottom plow to hook to the jd 4020 tractor. I think that will look so cool. Besides that might be displayed in the Don Campbell Museum alongside my big dozer, the train and 40 or 50 of my other models. A couple of my half scale tractors would represent my life long love for farm machinery too.
Komatsu pc-8000-6 mass excavator – One more week I will be back in the toy building mode. I already have a nice start with bucket , boom, stick, and the cylinder parts cut out.
