BIG TICKET FESTIVAL 2009 IN GAYLORD – Yesterday the Christians invaded Gaylord , just one block behind us over 300 tents were set up in the field and about 30 more campers in motorhomes.
So this morning on our walk Deb and I walked through the temporary campground. Now that is roughing it , ha,ha.
For three days there is a Christian Rock Concert just 4 blocks from our house at the Fair Grounds. They have held this event now for several years and it has brought thousands of people to Gaylord for the three day event. Most residents are ok with it, but a few elderly people do not appreciate the loud rock music that can be heard over most of Gaylord late at night.
This year they turned the entertainment stage away from town and last night it seemed much quieter than past years.
It is just another example of different ways people can come together and share Gods word. Many churches frown on this loud rock and roll Chrisitan Music but it has brought thousands of new Christians to know Jesus and that is ALL GOOD !!
Fish Town – Todays picture is Deb and I at Fish Town north of Traverse City , a popular tourist destination each summer.
MINING SHOVEL – I got another 50 pieces welded to the bucket for more detail , it looks much more rugged now. Monday i will begin working on the track pads.
Hope you All have another great fun summer weekend.
