Gaylord City Snowplows were out early this morning clearing the roads of the overnight storm . It started out as freezing rain and turned to snow and dropped around five or six inches of snow overnight . But the high winds blew it around polishing some areas to a icy slippery surface while other places had drifts 3 feet high. So once again we missed ( The Perfect Storm ) the weatherman has been talking about for the last few days. But I was happy with the five or six inches we got .
It was perfect timing this morning for the neighbor lady who was just just getting home from working the night shift. Her small compact car was helpless trying to turn on her street after the plows left just left a 3 foot tall wall of snow . So I maneuvered the John Deere and with precision skills proceeded to come to the rescue and off she went into her nice warm dry garage. She is very appreciative and my good deeds are usually rewarded with a fresh loaf of bread, homemade cookies or a coconut cream pie. (:>).
I had to laugh after I plowed Jessica out I headed to the 90 year old couples driveway next door . As i made my first two or three passes their garage door went up so i could pull all the snow out from the front of their door. That is pretty normal But I was a little surprised when the headlights on their vehicle came on . Then I realized both of them were inside the vehicle waiting for me to finish plowing their driveway, ha,ha. Where would these two 90 year people be going at 7:00am in the middle of a blizzard with whiteout conditions ? My guess is they had to go get the Sunday paper , REALLY !!
What was funny is before I even finished their driveway , off they went down the road dissapearing into the blizzard. , ha,ha.
WALDONS – I will play on the Waldons this afternoon out back and start building my snowcross track for my Ski-doo , ha,ha. That’s perfect, a gravel pit in the summer months and a snowcross track in the winter, LOL it seems so nice with a clean backyard !
Toy Train Progress- I got all the doors on the right side now and the walkway . Working on the top right venting system now .
PERFECT SUNDAY – Plowing snow , Football , and barbecue ribs so even though it wasn’t the perfect snowstorm, it is a perfect Sunday with Deb.
Sunday messages – It has been a long time since I posted a Sunday Christian message. I have not forgot to , but instead I no longer feel right doing it. Even though I still believe very strong in God and Jesus , I have drifted away from my strongest feelings.
It’s very sad especially now at Christmas time with Nicole having a son being born maybe on Christmas Day I notice it most this time of year and I have so much to be thankful for and I do thank God everyday for Deb, Nicole and Bill and family . Even if this country completely collapses in the next couple years I will not stop believing . I’m smart enough to know it’s all up to me and once I turn to God 100% he will be waiting to bring me back . He is very patient like that. (:>)
I can still proudly say this though , “Remember Jesus is the Real Reason for the Season “. Have a Great Sunday !
