jd 730 narrow front – Todays picture shows the hood off the third garden tractor in my workshop. I removed the carb and cleaned it and soaked it yesterday and today it is back on . New spark plug , cleaned all the wires connectors, lubed up the choke and throttle cables and got them to work again . Now I am remounting the generator / starter mounting bracket . The belt adjustment bracket is missing so i am not sure how it was connected. I will have to look on line and make one . Should not be a problem to make.
Got to still get a new gas tank hose connector that screws into the bottom so I can install new hoses, filters and a on off valve. I should get it fired up in a couple days. We been getting a lot of snow the last few days and i been doing a lot of hand shoveling everyday plus plowing snow. I’m not complaining , I enjoy it. (:>)
Cub Cadet – Once i get these three running good then I think I’ll pull the Cub Cadet in the shop . That one does run excellent and it has hydrostatic drive. That needs a makeover too and yes it will end up being green and yellow , ha,ha. If I buy junk lawn tractors for one hundred dollars they are one step from the junk pile. I save them and give them a new life and a new color . They were neglected just sitting out behind the shed with the grown up puppy no one spends time with anymore, ha,ha. The Steiner is staying red and one red tractor is one more than I ever planned on in my herd, ha,ha. Terak needs to know they do make red tractors too, ha,ha.
Have a great Monday !!
