Craigslist add- This snowblower is over 12 years old and has less than 10 hours on it, probably closer to 6 hours. Because i always had more fun plowing snow and blowing snow with my little tractors it just never got used much. Three years ago I drained the tank and the carb and let it set. I put it on craigslist for $600.00 and got a serious buyer who was coming the next day to buy it. I thought I would just put gas in it and it would run perfect like the day I drained the gas out of it. Well I was wrong. I filled the gas tank and it started dripping out of the on off valve gas line. Then I pushed the rubber plunger 3 or four times and the gas squirted out on my hand, then I pushed the electric starter and gas started shooting out three different streams from the fuel bowl. I hurried and called the people and told them it was no longer for sale . The inside of the carb looked terrible with rust and moisure.
I ordered a new carb for it and a new on off valve and a new rubber plunger . Once I get it actually running perfect again I will put it back on craigslist. Sure does prove that letting engines sit around for several years really is hard on them.
Waldon 5000 Loader- I reassembled the carb yesterday and will install it today . I looked over the air cleaner and looked uo inside the screen and found several bees nests completely blocking the air intake.
So now I know that was the reason it would not throttle up like it was supposed to . I am still glad I pulled the carb too so now the Waldon should be ready to work , or should I say PLAY in the snow , lol
