John Deere 59″ two stage snowblower, parts needed.

John Deere 59″ snowblower gearbox- I been looking on the internet for a used gear box and used auger flighting for the front of this snowblower. I sanded and cleaned it up after the neighbor was going to haul it to the junkyard. Now after pricing the parts to fix it i can see why, ha,ha. Seems the poor design of these two stage blowers don’t have a shear pin . So when you hit something you shear the gear box, ha,ha. But when you get to the JD dealer and he tells you you have to buy the whole gear box for over $1,000.00 it isn’t as funny anymore. (:) Otherwise this snowblower housing is going to end up as a rear box scraper on my mini 4020. Then I’ll have a good rear gearbox and chute and rear frame assembly I’ll be selling , ha,ha.
JD single stage snowblower- This afternoon I did some grinding and finished the snowblower project.
JD mini 4020 front blade- When I bought the JD 430 it came with a 60 inch deck , a single stage snowblower and a five foot front blade. Tonight I began the process of mounting the blade on the 4020 . Because it was the 430 it will be easier. Although I have to rebuild the mounting frame and lower it 6 inches or so so the blade scrapes and angle correctly. If all goes as planned tomorrow I’ll post a picture of it completed.
Olympics – Another relaxing evening tonight enjoying the atheletes. .
Have a great Thurs.
