John Deere 744E Loader at Kloosters in Atwood, Michigan .

Family Picture – Todays picture brings back memories of stopping in Atwood at Kloosters , a Equipment Dealer 20 miles north of Traverse City. Many times Deb and I would travel back from TC and stop and check out their equipment lineup. And most times , they had a great selection of dozers, loaders and graders on the lot. But these days I think the place is almost shut down as there is very little or no equipment sitting on the lot. Deb took this picture of me and Nicole , and my folks and my nephew Jason getting a unique family picture.
This picture was taken before I ever built my first model and you can see I even loved looking at machinery then.
COLD AND SNOW TODAY IN GAYLORD – The high temps today are 29 degrees and it has lightly snowed off and on this morning.
Deb and I had the best winter yet not getting cabin fever. But we are sure going to enjoy this summer once the snow is gone.
LESS SNOWMOBILE DEATHS – The local news said last night that only 20 people died in Michigan this winter compared to 22 last winter.
SEVENTY FOUR DAYS – Deb and I are still counting calories after 74 days and it has really changed our eating habits. In 74 days we have not had one day of eating the way we used too . We feel we have made another great step to thinness. (:>).
WALKING OUTSIDE – If the weather gets nice again one more week the sidewalks should be ice free . Then we will start walking again outside too.
BERLIET 700 OILFIELD TRUCK- I got the engine done and I am working under the truck now making the transmission, driveshafts.
The six wheel inserts will be last to be built. If all goes as planned tomorrow afternoon I will begin doing the final body work on the whole model. Then this weekend I could get it primed and painted.
LIEBHERR R9800 MINING EXCAVATOR – Monday I will get going cutting out the very first parts for my next large scale mining machine. Very excited to get going on it. There has been a change in plans on it’s final destination . Instead of going to Denver to Kevin Anderson, it is now going to Leon in Va. Leon also ownes the only other two large one of a kind shovel models I have built so far.
Leon is also getting the next large shovel of the O&K RH-400 front shovel that I will build after the Liebherr R9800 .
So he will have all of the 4 large Mining shovel models I have ever built in his unique collection.
HAVE A GREAT THURS. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
