SUPERBOWL SUNDAY – It’s one degree below zero, the wind is blowing like crazy , we got about 6 inches of snow last night , you can’t even see out the windows , but WHO CARES, IT’S SUPERBOWL SUNDAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippee !!, Even though the Detroit Lions or the Green Bay Packers didn’t have their best season and make it this year, something about the SuperBowl is still exciting. Kinda like a little bit of the Christmas morning feeling knowing I’m getting a lot of presents , ha,ha.
We got a few extra goodies to eat and that is fun , but this SuperBowl will be more special than normal as both teams are pretty close to Michigan. I’m hoping Chicago will win, but as I watch each playoff game and see them make so many mistakes , I tell Deb , they blew it !! , and the best team (on that day), went home the winner.
GOING FOR ANOTHER RIDE IN THE SNOWPLOW TODAY- With 6 inches of new snow overnight and drifting snow banks, I was up early plowing. The old John Deere Really cranked over hard this morning. It still has the original battery in it and I know anytime it could need a new one. Even my truck had a hard time running the plow in this cold , the battery would hardly lift the blade towards the end. It also has the orginal battery, after 10 years. So anyday I am ready to buy a new one for it too.
I passed my friend Tom this morning in the County Snowplow Truck and he stopped and he thought it would be a good day for me to ride with him in the snowplow again. So that should be fun too.
The above picture shows John, Tom and I checking out one of the two Komatsu 575A Super Dozers in the coal mine. VERY IMPRESSIVE !! I knew the day would come I would build a good sized model of one of these bad boys, and that is my next project. Two weeks I will start cutting out the first parts for it.
HENDRICKSON TRUCK MODEL- I worked in the shop yesterday as it was too cold for Deb and me to go goof off. I got the weights and lift brackets, and tie down brackets all cut out and partially welded together. I even cut three sections of chain to strap them down when they are completed.
